Some regional picks, some new releases and a bit of news...

Jack White's new album Lazaretto not only debuted at number one on the Billboard album sales charts, it also sold significant numbers of vinyl. Not since Pearl Jam's Vitalogy has a vinyl LP sold in such high volume. White sold 40,000 copies of his wax platter to music buyers this past week. There are tons of great shows happening in the Jackson area this weekend. Tomorrow night, Robert Earl Keen brings the never-ending party to Duling Hall. Friday night, Duling will host Kim Richey with Kevin Gordon. Martin's will have the http://www.jacksonfreepress.com/news/2014/jun/18/future-unknown/">King of Country & Western Troubadors, Unknown Hinson on stage. Saturday, Young Valley plays at Martin's. Sunday night, Billy Joe Shaver debuts new material from his forthcoming record Long in the Tooth at Duling. In other words, there's no shortage of great music to be seen and heard in Jackson this weekend.
