JACKSON July saw new commercial development worth $9.6 million in Jackson, including several projects worth more than $100,000.
They include: a Wendy’s at Northside Drive ($859,700), Great Northern Tools' expansion on I-55 North ($250,000), a new car wash on Meadowbrook ($541,075), a convenience store on Terry Road ($125,000).
Landmark Healthcare's development for Baptist Health Systems also brought in $3 million into city coffers, according to City Hall.
The Landmark development is a $57 million project that includes a 170,000-square-foot five-story medical office building.

And Baptist won't pay a cent of property tax on the Landmark Healthcare building, correct?
