Attorneys for Paul Minor, above, are moving forward to appeal his honest services fraud convictions.

U. S. District Judge Henry Wingate reduced former Mississippi attorney Paul Minor's federal prison sentence to three years during a hearing yesterday, WLBT reported yesterday.

Former Harrison County judges John Whitfield and Wes Teel's sentences were also reduced to 18 months.

In 2007, a federal jury convicted Minor and the judges of honest services fraud. Minor's sentence was originally 11 years. In 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court announced it would not hear Minor's appeal.
