I'm trying to call Comcast "customer service," and I've now been on hold for 91, er, 92 minutes with them promising to get with me momentarily. Nice.

I feel your pain. I gave up after 45 minutes on hold on Friday night. My husband got through on Sunday, was transferred around some, but actually got to a VERY helpful person.

Good luck, one of the few times I have been to their office on Cedars of Lebanon they had 3 customer service reps. taking payments and 58 people in line and 2 of the reps. decided to go on break with all those people in line. Shows how much they care about their customers. I stood in line for over an hour.

I wonder how long it will take for your issue to be resolved.

Sadly, Comcast does not know the meaning of customer service. They are the textbook definition of customer disservice. Their motto is like Despair.com's plaque for Apathy: "If we don't take care of the customer, maybe they'll stop bugging us." Nothing drives me as crazy as bad customer service. I can only hope that I am contributing to make it better. I don't work for Comcast, though. :)

even more sadly, the Time Warner folks were generally pretty good on the phone, and I always got served quickly when I went down to the office directly. I. Hate. Comcast.

Just the bad experience I had getting service to my new house last year, followed by crappy reception and piss poor customer service was enough to push me from Comcast to satellite.

Maybe the threat of fines will help with Comcast's customer service issues. They were fined $13K by Montgomery County, MD for not answering at least 90% of calls within 30 seconds.
