I hope it's not much of a jinx, but I noticed that they have crept up to 3rd in Sports Illustrated's national high school rankings this year. That's an accomplishment worth noting, especially with a new coach this year.

I thought Southern Miss likely had the best college football team in Mississippi. Those scholar atheletes at Rice aren't supposed to beat football powerhouses.
