Clarion-Ledger applauds church, "leadership"

The C-L today editorializes about the decision to revitalize Capitol Street United Methodist Church. Agreed. Toward the end of the editorial, though, the paper sounds suspiciously like it's talking to itself:

"Leadership can come from any direction in a community. A public is cheated by ‘leaders' who trade on fear and anxiety to bolster their causes, as by those who fail to recognize reality and decisively deal with problems. Rather, true leadership holds a positive vision of what can be, recognizing strengths and formulating plans to energize a community to make that vision a reality. This is the type of ‘bottom up' leadership exemplified by this renovation — a strength too often unrecognized in Jackson." [Emphasis added]

Or, if it's not talking to itself, it should be.
