Are You Having Mortgage Troubles?

[verbatim release] Attorney General Jim Hood is bringing the Mississippi Foreclosure Prevention Consortium to your area to help distressed homeowners at risk of foreclosure.

If you are a borrower who: (1) is current on loan payments, but the mortgage exceeds the home’s value, (2) lost your home to foreclosure, (3) is behind on mortgage payments, or is having other difficulties with your mortgage, then you should attend this free event!

Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood has created the Mississippi Foreclosure Prevention Consortium to assist homeowners who are struggling as a result of the foreclosure crisis. The consortium was created through funding awarded to the state under the recent National Mortgage Settlement. Attorney General Hood joined 49 other attorney generals and the United States Department of Justice in this settlement with the five largest mortgage servicing banks in America. Relief for struggling homeowners could include principal reductions, facilitation of short sales, deferred loan payments, relocation assistance, waiving of deficiency balances, or refinance programs.

Monday, Dec. 10, 9 a.m. to noon, Regency Hotel, 400 Greymont Ave. Jackson, MS
