For "Mississippi Mile" on Dec. 9, 200 hundred photos will go in the windows of buildings along Capitol Street.
The photos, which Blue Magnolia Films compiled over three years, will each have a caption that will tell the story behind the photo and a QR code with a link to a video.
On Dec. 9, 2017, 100 Mississippians ranging from ages 14 to 81 will uncover their photos along Capitol Street in celebration of the state's bicentennial.
Shuttle buses will be available during the "Mississippi Mile" and the grand opening of the Mississippi Museum of History and Mississippi Museum of Civil Rights on Dec. 9, 2017.
Mississippi was officially recognized as the 20th state in the U.S. on Dec. 10, 1817.
