This Friday, the top senior boys and girls of Mississippi will face off against the top senior boys and girls from Alabama in the 24th annual Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Basketball games.

This year's games—the first ones in Mississippi since 2002—will take place at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center on the Jackson State University campus.

The All-Star games alternated between the two states from 1991 to 2002, then moved to the Pelham Convention Center in Alabama from 2003 through 2011. Alabama State University hosted 2012 and 2013 games and will host the 2015 games.

Alabama swept both games last year to take a 12-11 series lead in both the boys' and girls' series. The Alabama girls won 64-54, while the Alabama boys won 87-76.

Moss Point star and Kentucky signee Devin Booker, who ESPN ranks as the 17th recruit in the nation, will lead the Mississippi boys' team. Booker will also play in the 2014 McDonald's All-American Game.

Booker is the first boys' player from Mississippi to play in the prestigious all-star game since 2012. Booker averaged 30.9 points per game as a senior and is Moss Point's all-time leading scorer with 2,518 points.

Plenty of talent from the Jackson metro-area will join Booker on the squad. Anfernee Hampton of Jim Hill, Jacob Ivory of Murrah, Xavian Stimage of Madison Central and Howard Thomas of Brandon are all recognizable names to Jackson basketball fans.

Rounding out the team are Dimtri Cook of Gulfport, Maurice Dunlap II of Amanda Elzy, Stacey Mack of McComb, Raekwon Pettis of Laurel, Ed Simpson Jr. of St. Martin, Octavius Stimage of Shaw, and Joniah White of Grenada.

The girls' team is not without star power this year. Scott Central's Victoria Vivians might be the most accomplished girls basketball player in Mississippi history.

Vivians led Scott Central to the freshman and junior titles during her time there. She set the Mississippi girls' scoring record and finished her career with 5,745 points from eighth grade to her senior year.

The Scott Central star has nearly every accolade a player can earn in his or her high school career. She averaged 46.2 points per game as a senior and finished first or second in the nation in scoring over the last few seasons. Vivians has signed with Mississippi State.

Kelley Allen of Puckett, Samantha Duncan of Oak Grove, Kayla Gordon of Meridian, A'Queen Hayes of Horn Lake, Frederica Haywood of John F. Kennedy, Kim Mallory of Itawamba AHS, Shania Posey of South Jones, Christa Reed of Bay, Blair Schaefer of Starkville, Shandricka Sessom of Byhalia and Aja Williams of Provine join Vivians on the girls' squad.

The girls' game starts at 5 p.m. with the boys' game following at 7:30 p.m.
