It's all about Saturday's big matchup, in case you haven't noticed. I pick Alabama.

Thursday, Nov. 3
College football (7-10 p.m. ESPN): Florida State takes on Boston College in a matchup of disappointing teams.

Friday, Nov. 4
High school football (2A, 3A, 4A playoffs, various sites): Mississippi has playoffs for every class, but 1A, 5A and 6A have one more week left in the regular season. My alma mater Florence won their district and hosts St. Stanislaus in round one. I will be there.

Saturday, Nov. 5
College football (7-10 p.m. CBS): LSU and Alabama finally get it on. Winner of this game is in the driver's seat for the national title game in New Orleans.

Sunday, Nov. 6
NFL (noon-3 p.m. Fox): Last week, the New Orleans Saints got embarrassed losing to the previous winless St. Louis Rams. Now the Saints must bounce back in a pivotal division game against Tampa Bay at home.

Monday, Nov. 7
NFL (7:30-11 p.m. ESPN): The Chicago Bears travel to the Philadelphia Eagles in a big game for both teams.

Tuesday, Nov. 8
College football (7-10 p.m. ESPN2/ESPN U): The Mid-American Conference is on display when Northern Illinois takes on Bowling Green and Western Michigan takes on Toledo.

Wednesday, Nov. 9
College football (7-10 p.m. ESPN): More MAC football—This time Miami Ohio and Temple get some TV time. It's a slow week after Saturday's big game.
Jackson State is at 7-1 and in the running for a Black College National Championship. Delta State is ranked number one in the Division II football poll. The Statesmen are 7-1 and playing to finish what they started last season. DSU lost in the national title game last season. All hail the mighty Fighting Okra as they try to continue winning.

The Steelers lost with 8 seconds to go last night and I'm simply sick to my stomach. As soon as the Steelers win one more Super Bowl I'm retiring from caring about Pro Football. The Ravens were my second most favorite team. Not anymore, though. They've forgotten their place. They're supposed to win and show out when we're not in the running. Ray Lewis was wrong for hitting old man Ward like that. We need some defensive backs who are gamers and who will put up when absolutely necessary. The Steeler nation isn't supposed to go down like that. The LSU and Alabama game was fantastic. It's clear to me that Alabama has the most talent. And I agree that Alabama defense can play on Sundays. That is the best college defense I've ever seen. It's not fair that either team had to lose. I hope they get to play again this season. Ole Miss fired Nutt. Anyone shocked? If you hire a nutt he wil caoch like a nutt. Mississippi Sate is still going to beat the crap out of Ole Miss later this month and next year too.
