Can't Jack Johnson, boxing's first black heavyweight champion, rest in peace? Many idiotic things that have been said by both Republicans and Democrats in the ongoing debate over health care reform. One of the dumbest was said recently by a Republican congresswoman from Kansas. Dave Zinn of edgeofsports.com writes:

At a town meeting, Republican Rep. Lynn Jenkins called for a "great white hope" to emerge from the Republican Party to defeat Barack Obama's agenda. Jenkins has since said she was "unaware of any negative connotation" and is sorry if anyone was offended. One thing is certain: if she did know the actual, unvarnished history of the phrase "great white hope," Jenkins may have chosen her words carefully. "Great white hopes" tend to get knocked into next week.

The problem is the republican party choosing a leader that suffers from PP or the inability to make love. If a man can't make love, he'll make WAR every time. Rusk Limpbaugh is the leader of the republican party, not Steele, and has a well documented case of PP. In other sporting news, the SWAC is requiring all players this year to wear McNair's number on their helmets, a wonderful gesture for the attention and prominence he brought to the SWAC. However, some people are suggesting the players wear the number on the front of their pants to remind the larger male population what lead Steve to his early death.
