It's been a great year for my alma mater. With a presidential debate in September, an 8-4 football team heading into a prestigious bowl game, and the announcement of our latest Rhodes Scholar (that's 25 total for those of you keeping count), I guess we were due for some bad news.

ESPN.com is reporting that Ole Miss head basketball coach Andy Kennedy was arrested this morning in Cincinatti on assault charges. His alleged crime? Punching a cab driver in the face while peppering him with racial epithets.

Needless to say, the Ole Miss faithful will be wishing a little harder for Cotton Bowl win. Yikes.
