I may sound like a weirdo, but I LOVE THE SHOW! Maybe it's a guilty pleasure or maybe it's due to my tendency to rout for the underdog, but I watched episodes on TV and online. I liked the commercials, and I'm addicted to cavemanscrib.com. Even if you hate the TV show, check out the Web site. It's interactive, and you get to do things like flush the toilet while one of them is in the shower or look at video clips from a wild party they had the night before. If you go to the "Prep and Party" day on the PDA, they have an iPod playing songs by independent artists. One of the songs, which you may recognize fron the airport commercial, is "Remind Me" by Royksopp, one of my new favorites.

The only thing I don't like about the show was that they are using different actors from the ones in the commercials, but one of them (the one from the airport commercial) appears occasionally. However, the actors have grown on me, and the one who plays Nick trips me out with his Frasier-like personality.

The show was criticized before it even aired, and I can understand why it doesn't suit everyone's tastes. My guess is that the show may be in trouble because of the writer's strike unless they got all the episodes in the can before the strike began. Even if it does just last one season, I'll buy the episodes on DVD if they are produced that way.

I guess I just have a weird taste in comedy. Then again, I'm a Monkees fan, too. :-)
