I know I keep harping on this, but jeez Dr. S. Do you just cut and paste your score results from Yahoo Sports or ESPN.Com? I thought ladd lauded you by calling your comments "genius." I didn't say anything at the time about that, but I'm going to have to say they are pretty 3rd or 4th rate. Also, what happened to better sports coverage? Non-existant as I see it. You might want to consider doing something else at JFP because your sports column is just getting worse and worse. To do you a favor I'll suggest a topic for you to write about: The NCAA and its tactics in forcing schools to change their mascots. Here is a link so you can go read about this current topic in sports: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news?slug=ap-northdakotanickname&prov=ap&type=lgns Good luck and try harder.

I was glad to see both USM and Jackson State win in a big way, especially for JSU, given their terrible record in the prior three years. Delta State will be in the Division II playoffs. They will be on the road at Elizabeth City State in North Carolina. Millsaps will play at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh. Both games are this Saturday. GO DSU AND MILLSAPS!

E: get lost. Heaven knows I give them grief but that was childish. Yeah, Kingfish is calling something childish. I'm sure they would have been ok with helpful suggestions. Too bad you have to make yourself feel better by bashing people for no reason on a message board.

Damn I am laughing at that one. Now over on Miss Politics they really will be saying we are an item. Of course, that is when they are saying me and Ray aren't one. went out and bought the dvd saturday. Was sick after going to Little Rock for LSU game so I got ready for a weekend on the couch. Watched the 2.0 dvd until 3 AM. I hate tv but that was pretty good stuff.

Kingfish, if you like Battlestar Galactica, you're all right with me. Best sci-fi TV program, ever. And I think you're right--the frackin' toasters are all over the place. Fortunately, although they keep using different identities, there are only twelve models.

Now here is a thought that ran through my head while watching it. What do the Cylans do when Earth is found and they realize earthlings are not polytheistic but are monotheistic like they are? One of their main reasons for wiping out humans is they view them as traitors to the one true God. What happens when they find they rejected the gods and believed in one true God in various forms? I also like the way the show treats you like you have a brain instead of focusing on special effects, car chases, and sex scenes.

I think there are only six models of our local toasters. But that is a good alternative to "troll." Toasters, it is. ;-) As for being an item, Kingfishy, your swing-both-ways secret is safe with us. I know, we just finished 2.0 on DVD ourselves. Damn it.

I'm not having a vision of number 6 always communicating to me at will though. Although Ali could pass for one. ;-)

I dunno about best sci fi ever. City on Edge of Tomorrow and Mirror, Mirror on Star Trek are hard to beat. Then there is the episode where they say "look at me".

"Best of Both Worlds" from ST:TNG was also one of the single best episodes of any version of Star Trek. But the new Battlestar proves that you can take a campy 70s show and turn it into a serious, dramatic, and political relevant sci-fi series without resorting to the tired "alien of the week" gimmick that Star Trek degenerated into.

Kingfish writes: Although Ali could pass for one. ;-) For some reason it's Starbuck that reminds me of Ali--they don't really look much alike, other than being blond, but there's just something about the overall attitude. Am I the only one who sees this? ;o) LOVE what they're doing with the Cylons this season... And I guess this is only a minor spoiler alert, but wasn't it great how they gave Cylons a better motive in this last ep...? I want to know why they attacked--I don't think we know the whole story. My money is that by the end of the series, there will be revelations of an extremely nasty human black-ops attack on Cylons, probably involving biowarfare given how creeped out they were by the probe. I can hardly wait until season 3.5 picks up in January... Re Earth and monotheism, what an intriguing idea. My suspicion has always been that this version of Galactica is actually supposed to be set in the distant future, but who knows...? I'm envisioning, now, Number Six being interviewed on The 700 Club... Cheers, TH

Not having seen many episodes of the new Galactica, I still can't help but to think of Dirk Benedict whenever Starbuck is mentioned. I can't help it-- I was a fan of the original show when I was younger.

Tom, please don't tell Todd that they killed off the entire cast in episode 2 of the current season. That will ruin it for him. But as Santa says in that cellphone ad, "Hey, I'm working over here!" Doctor S wants you to go over to the Conerly post and react. Shoo!

What surprised me most about S3 was the explicitness of the CGI-assisted Tigh-Adama sex scene. I can't believe the Sci-Fi Channel hasn't lost advertisers over that. Donna, if you haven't been watching S3, what the heck have you been doing on Friday nights? Going out? God. Next you'll be telling me you don't even own a pocket protector. Cheers, TH
