Extra, extra! The JFP's Goliath Blog launches, as the independent media's battle against the Gannett Corp. is heating up. Jackson media are reporting and analyzing the scheme, and media consumers are weighing in to support local media. Read and view the link WLBT story and video. Visit the Goliath Blog for a "citizens' guide" to easy ways to help ensure that local media aren't stamped out by Gannett. You can download the Petition (PDF) then get it signed by your friends or co-workers and fax it to the Clarion-Ledger at 601-961-7025. Also, at locations where you pick up the JFP and others, please continue to talk to the managers and owners and let them know that you appreciate the fact that they allow us to distribute there, where it's convenient for you as a customer.
