Pride in Jackson Clean Team Gearing Up Just in Time for the Great American Cleanup
Jackson's Clean Team, volunteer city employees, will be coming together March 7 — 11, 2005 to tackle litter and spruce up select locations in every precinct of Jackson. Dubbed "Pride in Jackson Week", the team invites anyone from the community — church groups, neighborhood associations, etc. — to join them next week in cleanup efforts.

It just so happens that "Pride in Jackson Week" coincides with the kickoff of the "Great American Cleanup," the Nation's largest organized cleanup effort. This year's Great American Cleanup dates are March 7th, April 9th and May 14th.

Neighborhood associations, businesses, and other groups are encouraged to participate in the citywide clean up efforts on these dates.

If you want more information, or if you would like to sign up to help next week or to register your team or organization for the Great American Clean Up, please call the Solid Waste Division at 960-1193.
This is the 20th Anniversary of the Great American Cleanup, led nationwide by Keep America Beautiful, Inc.
