[Stiggers] Check Yo Sources, Even If It's Gossip

Here's an important message from Sis Boneqweesha Jones, president of the Hair Did University School of Cosmetology and On-the-Scene Journalism, for Advanced Toe Nail Applications/On-the-Scene 501 students.

Our monthly learning/enrichment series featuring guest lecturer, CBS News Anchor Dan Rather, has been canceled until further notice—that is after he straightens up the mess he put himself in.

Nevertheless, I want to share my thoughts with future hair stylists, cosmetologists and aspiring journalists regarding Bruh Dan's faux pas.

My instructors taught me a very great and simple principle: Take care of "bid-ness" up front and the rest of the work will be easy. I also learned another principle from the Bible and that song sung by the rock group The Byrds: For everything there is a season; a time to open yo' big mouth and a time to lock yo' loose lips. And this last principle I learned from that Lil' Jon get-crunk song: Don't start no stuff, won't be no stuff!

Students, my point is: Apply basic principles in yo' daily livin' to preserve yo' dignity and integrity. A scandal happened at CBS because Mr. Rather and the Six-O-Clock Evening News team forgot their principles. The lesson we should learn from Dan Rather is: Check yo' sources, even if it's gossip.

Next month the Hair Did University Learning/Enrichment series welcomes Sis Janet Jackson discussing the topic "Bouncing Back When Things Fall Apart." Students, your next class is Advanced Weave-ology and the Inverted Pyramid.

Remember: Get out and Vote!
