Men's basketball, Southern Miss vs. Marquette, 7 p.m., WSFZ (930): How strapped for cash is Southern Miss' athletics program? USM sold a CUSA home game to Marquette, which moved it to Green Bay, Wis. This would never happen in the SEC.

Saturday, Jan. 17
Men's basketball, Mississippi State at LSU, 2 p.m., J-P (Ch. 12) and WJDX (620): The Bulldogs face SEC rival LSU (coached by one-time MSU assistant and Belhaven alum John Brady) at Baton Rouge.

Sunday, Jan. 18
Women's basketball: Mississippi State at Ole Miss, 2 p.m., Fox Sports South: The Lady Rebels are better under first-year coach Carol Ross and the Lady Bulldogs are down. That should make for a tight game at Oxford.

Monday, Jan. 19
Men's basketball, Texas Southern at Jackson State, 7:30 p.m., WOAD (1300): The Tigers host the Texas Tigers in the second game of three-game SWAC homestand.

Wednesday, Jan. 21
Men's basketball, Mississippi State at Florida, 7 p.m., J-P, Ch. 12/WJDX (620): Alligator Alley has never been hospitable to the Bulldogs.

Thursday, Jan. 22
Men's basketball, William Carey at Tougaloo, 7:30 p.m., WMPR (90.1): Son of a gun, here's a chance to see the Crusaders who are led by Jaeson Maravich, son of the late Pistol Pete Maravich.

Saturday, Jan. 24
Men's basketball, Cincinnati at Southern Miss, 1 p.m., WSFZ (930): The Eagles play only two of their first eight CUSA games at home. Hosting the Bearcats won't do much for the home fans' morale.

Monday, Jan. 26
Men's basketball, Grambling at Jackson State, 7:30 p.m., WOAD (1300): It might not be football, but these two bands of Tigers hate each other during every season.
