Snag a 'Get On Up' Movie Role

Producers for the upcoming biopic of the "Godfather of Soul," James Brown, will be in Jackson conducting an open casting call Saturday, Oct. 5. Here are some of the details from http://www.tammysmithcasting.com/TSCasting/GOU_submissions.html">Tammy Smith Casting:

In his follow-up to the four-time Academy Award-nominated blockbuster “The Help,” Tate Taylor directs Chadwick Boseman ("42") as James Brown in "Get On Up."

Based on Brown's incredible life story, the film promises a fearless look inside Brown's music, moves and moods, taking audiences on the journey from his impoverished childhood to his evolution into one of the most influential figures of the 20th century.

Filming starts Nov 4 in the Natchez, area and continues through the end of December there. After a two-week Christmas/New Years hiatus, the crew will continue filming in the Jackson area until the end of January.

We work a Monday through Friday work week, with an occasional Saturday on the schedule for a few specific scenes.
