The City of Jackson’s Department of Parks and Recreation is currently conducting registration for the 2013 Summer Enhancement Program. The deadline for registration is May 24.
The educational program offers children the opportunity to listen to guest speakers, participate in arts and crafts, watch movies and enjoy other fun-filled activities. Youth in age groups 6-12 and 13-16 may participate.
Registration will be held at the Department of Parks and Recreation, Suite 104 in the Metrocenter Mall on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The registration fee is $70 (cash or money order only). Parents must provide a copy of their child’s 121 immunization compliance form (shot record) or a birth certificate.
Parents or guardians must provide transportation, an insulated lunch bag, water bottle, sleeping mat and beach towel. A lunch and snack will be provided.
