Jackson Issues Boil-Water Notice

Due to the recent loss in water pressure from a water main repair, the City of Jackson Water/Sewer Utilities Division has issued a precautionary boil water advisory until further notice for the following areas:

• Ridgewood Rd (from Sheffield Dr. & Meadowbrook Rd.) • Meadowbrook Rd (from Ridgewood Rd. & Eastover Pl.) • E. Northside Dr (from Ridgewood & Hickory Ridge Rd.) • Sheffield Dr. • Southwood Rd. • Parkridge Dr. • Forest Park Dr. • Manhasset Dr. • Gay St. • Dunn St. • Roswell Dr., Ct. • Norwich Ave. • Lockwood Ave. • Kent Ave. • Berlin Dr. • Athens Dr. • Brussels Dr. • E Ridge Dr. • Ashcot Cir. • N Honeysuckle Ln. • London Ave. • Kirkwood Dr. • Kirkwood Pl. • Eastwood Dr. • Northover Dr. • Hickory Ridge Rd. • Pine Ridge Pl, Dr. • Bellewood Rd. • Northhampton Dr. • Culleywood Rd. • Brecon Dr. • Hillview Dr, Pl. • Shadowwood Dr. • Winchester St. • Wilhurst St. • Highland Terrace • Heritage Hill Dr. • Brackenridge Cir.

This advisory affects approximately 1,000 connections on the City of Jackson Surface Water System. This is a precautionary advisory. This notice does not mean that the water is unsafe, but it does mean that customers must take precaution and boil the water before use. All customers are advised to boil their drinking water until adequate pressure is restored to the system. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute for the following: cooking or baking, making ice cubes, taking medication, brushing teeth, washing food, mixing baby formula or food, mixing juices or drinks feeding pets, washing dishes and all other consumption.
