Mayor's Second Telephone Town Hall Meeting Tonight

[From the Harvey Johnson Jr. campaign]

Jackson residents are invited to take part in a Telephone Town Hall meeting with Jackson Mayor Harvey Johnson. This is the Mayor's second time using this unique technology as a means to addressing the concerns of Jackson residents who want to speak directly with the Mayor.

"Our first Telephone Town Hall meeting was a huge success! Over 3,500 residents participated. Because it was so well received, we decided to do a second teleconference, so more residents would have the opportunity to share their concerns," said Johnson.

Taking part is easy. All residents have to do is answer the phone.

Sunday night, about 20,000 calls went out to residents inviting them to take part in the call. Those same residents will be called again, tonight, at 7P.M. Once they answer, they'll be connected to the meeting. Anyone with a question will be prompted to press a button on their keypad.

Residents may also call in. Just dial 1-877-229-8493 and enter 111507 when prompted. The meeting will last one hour.

The Mayor is using this new technology as a means of addressing the concerns and issues important to city residents during this year's mayoral campaign.

The media is invited to speak with Mayor Johnson at the conclusion of the Telephone Town Hall.
