Gov. Phil Bryant, first lady Deborah Bryant, Sen. Roger Wicker, Rep. Gregg Harper, Vicksburg Mayor George Flags, Pascagoula Mayor Dane Maxwell and Charles Evers watched as Air Force One landed at the Thompson Airfield on Saturday morning.

Civil-rights veteran Myrlie Evers did not shy away from speaking out to reporters about racism and prejudice being alive and well today as it was back in the 1960s.

Former governors, political leaders and civil-rights veterans cut the ribbon in front of the Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum on Saturday, Dec. 9.
