Nykolas Alford and Stephen Thomas are plantiffs in the ACLU's lawsuit against the state's registrar for vital records, claiming that HB 1523 is unconstitutional. Former Mississippi Supreme Court Justice Oliver Diaz Jr. is their attorney.
