This season didn't start the way Mississippi College hoped—with three straight losses.

Mississippi College opened the season with a 52-19 loss to arch-rival Millsaps College in the first game of the year. The team didn't fare much better in its next outing, losing 35-7 to Huntington College.

In the third game of the season, MC fell 35-7 to Webber International University. Things changed for MC as the calendar flipped from September to October, however.

Mississippi College got its first win of the season in its first conference game of the year when it defeated Hardin-Simmons 49-35.

MC extended its winning streak to two games with a second straight victory in a 34-30 win over Sul Ross State, its second straight American Southwest Conference victory.

The winning ways for MC stretched to three straight games when it knocked off Howard Payne University 41-38 to even its record at 3-3 on the season. The win was also the college's third straight ASC victory and put them in first place in the conference standings.

Mississippi College steps back out of conference this weekend for its homecoming game, facing 5-0 Texas Lutheran at Robinson-Hale Stadium this Saturday.

Jonathon Redd leads MC in passing with 931 yards on 73 completions with 129 attempts. He has also rushed for 98 yards on 45 rushes with five touchdowns. Redd has thrown for six touchdowns and seven interceptions.
