Stacey Aldridge Best of Jxn makes me happy. I will never forget my very first Best of Jackson issue. Lisa Alexander was working at Cups Fondren, or maybe High Noon Cafe, or maybe that’s back when it was both! Whatever job she had, we went up to Fondren corner the day that the BOJ issue came out, went to Rooster’s and had burgers while we thumbed through to see the winners. I was so excited! Ever since, Best of Jxn party has been neck & neck for my favorite annual Jxn event, tied with Chickball. The Jackson Free Press knows how to throw a party!

Anoche asistí a un evento de Jackson Free Press “lo mejor de Jackson” en donde con gran satisfacción y orgullo vi que hay más hispanos e inmigrantes iniciando sus negocios y participando en eventos de este tipo. Dentro de nuestro grupo demográfico hay fotógrafos, sastres, restauranteros, consultores, inversionistas, etc. Algo que en lo personal me llena de alegría es que los políticos y personalidades importantes han notado la presencia, poder adquisitivo y espíritu trabajador y emprendedor de la comunidad latina.
