If you're a biking enthusiast, you still have time (barely) to ride for a most worthy cause: curing cancer.

"You've always ridden because it's healthy for you," the Cyclists Curing Cancer websitestates. "Now ride because it's healthy for someone else."

The ride begins tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. at the Baptist Healthplex in Clinton (106 Clinton Parkway, Clinton, 601-925-7900) and continues along the beautiful Natchez Trace. Riders can choose to ride 25, 50, 62, or 100 miles to benefit Baptist Cancer Services' Serenity Garden for cancer patients and their families. The garden is located in front of the Hederman Cancer Center at 1227 N. State St.

Organizers say that lunch is provided after the event, and that rest stops along the route will be well stocked with water and snacks.

If you're not already registered, the fee is $45. Early registration and packet pick-up is today, Sept. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hederman Cancer Center. Riders pre-registered may pick up registration packets at this time. Registration and packet pick up will also be available at the Baptist Healthplex Saturday morning prior to the ride.
