Come out and enjoy a scenic bike ride on the beautiful Natchez Trace at the Natchez Trace Century Ride Saturday, May 12. This event is perfect for the whole family; all ages and ability levels are welcome. Even if you can't participate, volunteer or cheer on your favorite cyclist.

The race begins at the Ridgeland Recreation Center (137 Old Trace Park) at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. No riders will be allowed to start after 8 a.m. Distances are 25, 50, 62 and 100 miles, with rest stops and refreshments about every 10 miles.

Register online through Wednesday, May 9, until midnight. After that, register at Indian Cycle Fitness and Outdoor (677 S. Pear Orchard Road, Ridgeland, 601-956-8383) on May 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. or on the day of the race at the Ridgeland Recreation Center from 6 to 7 a.m. The race fee of $35 includes a post-race meal and a T-shirt. (Meals for nonparticipants are $10.) No refunds will be given because of inclement weather.
