How many people knew that tomorrow is Lemonade Day in Jackson? Children around the capital city will have lemonade stands set up as a way to learn about business and entrepreneurship. (Temperatures are expected to hit 90 degrees tomorrow, so hopefully the demand for lemonade will be high.)

Lemonade Day started in Houston as a way to teach children the basics about starting businesses, and has since spread to other cities around the country. Each child who registers for Lemonade Day gets a backpack with an Entrepreneur Workbook to learn about budgeting, investors, marketing, setting goals and spending profits wisely.

This is the first year that Jackson has observed Lemonade Day.

Bria Griffith, director of Lemonade Day Jackson, says children will be selling lemonade tomorrow at the following locations, as well as at other places around the city:

- Stewpot, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Jackson Zoo, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Operation Shoestring from 10 a.m. to noon
- Renaissance from 1 to 4 p.m.
- Flowood Market from 1 to 4 p.m.
- YMCA Farish Street from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
