President Barack Obama is expected to release details about a $300 billion jobs package during a televised speech at 6 p.m. tonight.

Reuters reported today that the package includes tax cuts for middle-class families and businesses in addition to repairing, roads, bridges and other infrastructure throughout the country.

The national unemployment rate is at 9.1 percent and national employment growth registered zero for August.

Barack is going to be called a lie about everything he says tonight by the other side unless he comes out and says I don't have a clue what's going on or what I'm doing. God bless his soul for still trying so hard to do his job and deliver for the American people in light of all the money, talent, intelligence, and pure trickery commanded to derail him from having any semblance of success at anything. I can't wait to hear the speech. I listened to some of the republican debate last night, and according to them, he doesn't know $#@*, can't do *&^%, and done $^*#ed for everything for everybody. I started to shoot the television but chose instead to turn the channel.

Walt, did you watch the speech? I thought the first 10 minutes were pretty inspiring. Then he kinda ran on empty (rhetoric) towards the end. "Sign this bill, now. Don't even read it. Email your signature if you have to. Just go for it." Did he even address how he would pay for this "stimulus"? This looks amazingly like an increase in the deficit, despite claiming that it isn't. I think he means to say, "it will increase the deficit now but not in the long-term." Though that is merely wishful thinking. I play trivia at a local pub almost every week. Good food, good drinks, good times. Great fun. If you win, you usually take home around 30-40 bucks apiece, depending on the size of your trivia team. If our current government officials played as a team, they'd go out to Wal-Mart and buy a couple of HDTVs and a couch in anticipation of winning Trivia Night every week for the next 9 months. They would also assume that they'd also be taking home around 500 bucks a week even though that amount has never been won at any previous Trivia Night. This is how our government handles the budget. They assume we'll make X amount in 10 years and spend that amount now. Horrible system. The truth of the matter is that the American Jobs Act is noble in theory, but unlikely to boost job growth within two years.
