If you didn't get tickets to the now sold-out Kid Rock concert at the Mississippi Coliseum tonight, don't worry; you still have plenty of options for entertainment in Jackson. The Art House Cinema Downtown screens the indie films "The Other Woman" at 7 p.m. and "Queen of the Lot" at 9:05 p.m. at the Russell C. Davis Planetarium (201 E. Pascagoula St.); $7. After you catch a flick, head out for a night on the town. Ole Tavern (416 George St.) features music by David Dondero, Franz Nicolay and Overnight Lows. Catch Storage 24 performing at Dreamz Jxn (426 W. Capitol St.) during the Kid Rock after party and crawfish boil at 9 p.m. Need more options? We've got you covered. On Saturday, enjoy the spring weather while it lasts, and take the kids to the Jackson Zoo for its annual Zoo Day. The zoo's staff has prepared special activities such as live music, crafts and appearances by life-size cartoon characters; $8, $5 for children. Or head to the Mississippi Craft Center (950 Rice Road, Ridgeland) at 10 a.m. for the Sheep to Shawl Outdoor Days, the event features outdoor craftsmen who spin, weave and knit wool and other natural fibers into yarn finished items. The event also features sheep sheering and kid-friendly activities. If you want to get involved in the community, attend Parent/ Guardian Education Advocacy Training at Lumpkin's BBQ (182 Raymond Road) at 11 a.m. Lunch is provided and the event is free. On Sunday, catch up on sleep and enjoy the sounds of Howard Jones Jazz during brunch at the Kind Edward Hotel at 11 a.m. Then catch the "Amazing Butterflies" exhibit at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science (2148 Riverside Drive).
