Before the sun goes down today, check out the Mississippi Watercolor Society exhibit at The Cedars, which is open until 4 p.m., or the Mustard Seed art exhibit at the Mississippi Arts Commission, open until 5 p.m. today. Start off your Saturday morning with a little exercise by participating in the 3.1 for 3x1 5K run/walk in Fondren. Check-in starts at 6:45 a.m. at Woodland Hills Baptist Church. Proceeds benefit The Journey's nonprofit organization 3x1, and registration is $25 for the 5K run/walk and $15 for the half-mile kids run.

Local rapper Noo Noo is turning 10, and she wants fans of all ages to join her at her celebrity birthday bash at Mardi Gras this Saturday from 3-6 p.m. Come for food, giveaways and live performances by Ray Nitti, J Money and Tha Joker. At 7 p.m., add some excitement to your evening by watching the Magnolia Roller Vixens take on the Pearl River Roller Derby at the Nuclear Knockout Roller Derby at the Jackson Convention Complex.
