Kids ages 4-8 and their parents should get ready for a ton of fun when Junie B. Jones' Stupid Smelly Bus rolls into town June 14. The bright pink Junie B. Jones bus will be in the Jackson metro area as part of a five-week nationwide tour.

Sarah Grover is performing the role of Junie B. Jones for the second year in a row. Grover, a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, enjoys performing for an audience of children.

"They are actually surprisingly attentive to everything; they'll react to every little thing you do," she says. "If you do anything funny they will laugh for an incredibly long time."

Fans of the Junie B. Jones book series will enjoy seeing her humorous antics live. Grover notes that her character "is a feisty 6-year-old. She's very outspoken and honest with everyone, even if it does get her in trouble sometimes," she says.

Barbara Park, author of the series, wrote the script for the show, which will be familiar to those who have read the books. Kids will recognize Mr. Woo, the bus driver, who is often involved in Junie B.'s antics. Junie B. will also show and tell about other familiar items from the books.

Sponsored by Lemuria Books and Random House publishers, the show begins at 1 p.m., June 14 at Madison Station Elementary School (459 Reunion Parkway, Madison).
