While the majority of Mississippi business leaders report concerns about the current state of the economy, they have confidence in future economic growth.

On Tuesday, the Mississippi Economic Council and the GodwinGroup released the results of its 2010 survey of 300 business leaders and 300 voters. The survey found that 69 percent of business leaders predict that the economy will improve in the new few years, compared to 50 percent of voters. In the same survey, 21 percent of voters reported that state budget cuts are having a devastating impact on the government's ability to provide services to citizens, compared to 8 percent of business leaders.
