Eighteen-year FBI veteran Daniel McMullen is the new special agent in charge (SAC) of the FBI's Jackson Division, moving from his most recent position in Los Angeles where he was SAC for criminal matters. FBI Director Robert S. Mueller appointed McMullen to replace SAC Frederick T. Brink, who recently retired.

McMullen is a graduate of the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in political science, and of the University of Southern California with a master's in public administration. Prior to joining the FBI in 1991, he served in the U.S. Army obtaining a captain's bars, and saw combat in Panama.

His career with the FBI has taken McMullen to Shreveport, Los Angeles, New York, and FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C. In 2005, the Anti-Defamation League awarded McMullen the Law Enforcement Sherwood Prize for Combating Hate.

The FBI Jackson Division is located downtown at 100 W. Capitol St.
