NFL quarterback/attention whore Brett Favre will reportedly undergo surgery this week to repair a torn tendon in his throwing arm. He's not getting this done to make driving a tractor easier, folks. Then he's expected to sign with the Minnesota Vikings.

TUESDAY UPDATE: Now ESPN is reporting that Favre won't be meeting with Birmingham orthopedic specialist Dr. James Andrews. (The doctor will be meeting with Ole Miss pitcher Scott Bittle, though.) However, Favre is said to be considering non-surgery options.

This isn't about Favre's love of the game. This is about Favre's desire to get even with the Green Bay Packers for telling him they didn't want him anymore. Favre nurses a grudge like a Mafia don.

Until this guy is lying six feet under in a pine box, he's not retired. Even then, I'm not sure he will.
