1. Media: Sandra Bullock will play the adoptive mother of Ole Miss offensive lineman Michael Oher in an upcoming film adaption of "The Blind Side." Bullock was in Memphis this week doing research for her role. Doctor S' suggestions for who to play former Rebels coach Ed Orgeron, who recruited Oher: The Great Grape Ape or Shrek.

2. High school baskeball: JPS rules at the Big House. Four Jackson teams win and advance the MHSAA State Tournament semifinals.

3. College football: Ole Miss is among the schools that oversign. It's not against NCAA rules — yet.

4. Men's college basketball: The Mississippi State-Ole Miss game on March 7 won't be televised. But Saturday's game with Auburn will. Ole Miss and Southern Miss are also on the tube on Saturday.

5. High school basketball: Jackson Academy boys face MRA in MPSA Overall semifinals. MRA has lost to just one team from Mississippi this season: JA
