A Giant Upset

Eli and the Giants ruin the season of the Anti-Christ and his godless minions. Perfect Patriots, my ... Archie's kids own the Super Bowl these days.

I couldn't even go to sleep on the game because it was so exciting. Finally, Eli showed he too has his mother's great genes when made that remarkable play that eventually led to the touch down to Plaxaco. The Giants' defense is the real most valuable player. Eli is from Louisiana, not Mississippi. We got Favre and McNair.

Since Eli's parents are both native Mississippians, his father is an Ole Miss legend and Eli was a Rebel star, too, I'd say the youngest Manning brother qualifies as a Mississippi hero.

Eli is SO a Mississippi hero. I mean, his mama is from my hometown. That's good enough for me. ;-) Loved it. And although I've never been an Ole Miss fan, I am a latent Giants fan, having been a New Yorker for a good part of my adult life. So I was two-way happy. And have I mentioned that I loathe New England? (Might have something to do with all that time in NYC, and that nasty NY-Boston rivalry.) And Tom Brady gets on my last nerve. Go, Eli. We watched the first half in the Memphis airport, and then got off the plane last night in Jackson and rushed over to the Alamo rental counter and watched the last two minutes with the guy behind the counter on his wee little TV. I couldn't really see THE catch on that third down, but I could hear about it. ;-) Big fun. Go, Eli. Go, New York. Love it, second only to them-damned-Saints.

You know, L.W., I couldn't really watch them. In Memphis, we were in that big ole smoking cafe at the very back so we wouldn't gag, and could see/hear the game, but not the commercials so much. And on the little TV, of course, it was impossible. I did see one cool one with a guy dancing in a crowd that looked pretty fun. So I'm not much help on this one.

Well, you can go to http://www.myspace.com/superbowlads and look at them. I suggest you look at the talking stain ad first. Funny!

Dr. S, as one doctor to another, we will have to disagree on this one. I don't want loose-anna's heroes. I want our owns. We got our own. We're better than Loose-anna. I knew Mississippi would engage fantasyland if Eli won, and that's why I eventually started pulling for the Patriots although I was against them the whole year in every game. I don't have any problem with the mother as surely she provided the genes to get them to the NFL. So-called Ole Miss legends don't do anything for most Mississippians or Mississippi's image.

Since no one else has said it yet, let me be the first. It's shameful and un-American that the Giants played over their heads one important game and messed up the record-setting drive by the Patriots. I wanted somebody to knock off the Patriots but not in this game. I wasn't really ready for a miracle in Glendale by the Giants. For the Patriots to win all those games in such a dominating fashion then lose the Super Bowl isn't right. Only "the fix" could bring this about. Yes, I mean cheating at it's best. This should be investigated. And everybody thought the Patriots were into cheating. The Giants aren't God's team unless Plaxico's crying was evidence. The Pittsburg Steelers taught Plaxico everything he knows.

Most certainly not, Iron. Ray lives over there on Raytune, sending sarcasm blips out like satellites. He is in our solar system, though, and we love him despite. (smile)

Just consider this then decide. When have you seen Eli break loose like that before and hit Tyree for a miraculous pass? He usually just lay down and cry while proclaiming he doesn't have enough help, "daddy-styled and everthang." When have you seen a Patriots' defensive back lay down like the boy did on Plaxico? When have you seen Brady wear an ankle brace a week before the game? I saw the game where the Patriots beat San Diego and know for sure none of the Chargers' defenders touched or injured Brady's ankle. What I'm not sure about is whether the fix was league sponsored or maffia forced or enticed. The league may have told the Patriots to lose this game else they would come after them for spy-gate. Rumors are that the Patriots have taped the practices of every team they played. Also, Brady is prancing around with numerous models and other beautiful women. Did y'all ever consider he was doing that to hide his love for his real girlfriend - a blow up doll. The maffia or somebody else could have threatened to let the cat out the bag unless he threw the game. That could explains all the girly-like fumbling and falling down he did just because a defenders came near him. Brady didn't play like that in other games. Call me crazy if you want to but I think on something. I mean I think I'm on to something! I watched the game Ghost. I kept thinking of Ben Johnson (steroids) or the fix. The fix won out here. It'll eventually come out in the wash.

Ole Miss is reporting that Barksdale is refusing to sign a letter of intent to play for them although they thought he had verbally committed earlier. Barksdale is the record setting running back and defensive player from South Panola. Could it be the boy has more sense than we all realized? Could it be he wants to play for a real powerhouse? No matter the crap about his grades, they boy has made the grade, seen the light, and the light has pointed elswhere. All that money on a coach and he didn't get a single Mississippi top ten player. What a waste of salary. I hope none of it was tied to recruiting. Looks like ole Nutts might have to suit up and play if the rebels plan to overcome being the laughtingstock of the SEC. Maybe Eli and ole Archie will return. Much love to ole miss though. They're one of my favorite schools in the nation.
