Christopher Walker Accused of Shooting?

Update: Christopher Walker called the Jackson Free Press today to say that he has not been arrested and did not shoot Craig Spiva. More details soon.

We're getting reports that Christopher Walker has allegedly shot Craig Spiva. Walker is a former mentee of Mayor Frank Melton, who gave him housing, money and transportation in the months leading up to the trial, and acquittal, of Albert Donelson, his brother Terrell and James Benton.

More details as they develop.

If true, here is Chief McMillian's first opportunity to enforce the law- And it has the Melton angle to it- This is the litmus test on day one of his tenure-

WJTV says there's no known motive yet. The word "suspect" wasn't even used in the report. Seems odd.

Since there has not been a confirmation by the Council or any official word from the Board of Supervisors, I doubt that Sheriff McMillin can start working today in the capacity of Chief of Police with this case. frank will have everything swept under the rug befor anyone can get to the bottom of it. Everyone will be paid off, threatened up, sealed off and it will be business as usual.
