[Verbatim Release]Please help us make the public aware of the following traffic disruptions as Jubilee!JAM begins build-out for this weekend.
Wednesday Night: Capitol Street from West to Congress and State Street from Amite to Capitol will be closed to vehicles, clearing the streets for stage construction (See Red Zone). No on-street parking will be permitted in this area. All Southbound traffic on State is asked to detour to Jefferson or to Congress prior to reaching Amite Street. All Northbound traffic is asked to detour to Jefferson or President prior to reaching Pearl Street. The stages will be delivered and taking shape by 7:00 am Thursday Morning.
Thursday: Capitol Street will be narrowed between West and State to accommodate vendor set-up. No on-street parking will be permitted in this or the above referenced areas. Food and beverage vendors will be visible throughout the day and night. However, no items will be sold until the festival opens.
Friday Morning: Vehicular traffic will be gradually eliminated on Capitol Street between West and State, on Congress Street from Amite to Pearl, on President Street from Amite to Pearl, and on State Street from Amite to Pearl starting at 10:00 am (See Orange Zone). No on-street parking will be permitted in this area. Ticket booths and fencing will be the last items to be set in place.
Friday Afternoon: All pedestrian pathways will be closed at 5:00 in the above referenced area. Festival gates will open at 6:00 pm!
