Donnie Register, the Fondren business owner whose wedding ring deflected a bullet flying toward his head during an armed robbery, was featured on Good Morning America's "Around the Watercooler" segment today.

I think Mr. Register is a walking miracle, and I admire his strength because after the shooting on Saturday, he opened his shop again on Monday. I was tickled by what Register's wife had to say:

"I think it's a good lesson for men out there to learn that it's a good idea to wear that ring," said Darlene Register. "It could come in handy someday."

Well, it certainly did this time.
