Tom, I'm a huge Moby fan for at least 10 years if not more. His videos are always unique and interesting and a little "off." Love to read his blog.

Hey, thanks for this--I Googled and just found it. This rocks! I first discovered Moby after the 2001 Grammys, when I heard Jill Scott and the Blue Man Group do "Natural Blues" with him and realized I had to buy this album. (Wait, is that on YouTube...? Why, yes it is!) I've gotten everything he's released ever since then, including the 18 B-sides album and iTunes exclusive albums. One more reason to love Moby: I looked this track up on iTunes. Usually if it's a greatest hits album, the new tracks/singles are flagged "Buy Album"--so rather than just picking up the two new songs off the greatest hits album you don't have, if you're a completist, you have to shell out $9.99 to $16.99 (depending on whether it's a single or double album) to get them. Not so with Moby; "New York, New York" was sitting there available for 99 cents so nobody would have to shell out any more than they had to. And yeah, I could say it's a coincidence, but this is how Moby has always treated his fans. Good on him. Cheers, TH

Well, this is interesting! I wouldn't use the word "superior," but I completely agree with what I think Moby is saying--which is that the endless quest for masculinity is one of the absolute worst things about our culture, and that to whatever extent gay men are statistically less likely to reject such standards, it's better to be gay. Moby has always been a little androgynous himself, in a much less gimmicky way than most androgynous rockers, which is one of the things I've always been able to relate to about him. Cheers, TH
