The NFL (No Fun League) has rejected Saints' first-round pick Reggie Bush's request to wear No. 5. Under NFL rules, running backs are required to wear numbers between 20 and 49. Bush, who was the second overall pick in April's draft, had asked the NFL to make an exception so that he could wear No. 5, his number at Southern Cal. Bush's second choice appears to be No. 25, which is currently worn by Fred McAfee, a Philadelphia, Miss., native and former Mississippi College. Fred says he's willing to give up the number. But... Fred's a nice guy (I went to College with him). I doubt he'd make the rookie pay. Have him fetch drinks, possibly. :)
