Don't you know this guy is sitting in the hospital room reading the news and thinking, "I've finally made it."
Timothy Tatters, 29, was delivering a pizza when his station wagon hit a pole and caught on fire.
Combined with the man's mentioned age of 29 and the fact that he was driving a station wagon they might as well have started the article with:
"Loser almost dies. Saved by two people who are not pizza delivery men."
