The NFL playoffs are set. Many of your favorite Mississippi players won't be participating ...
Brett "Mr. Interception" Favre played what might have been his last game with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. He led the Pack to a meaningless 23-17 victory over the uninterested Seattle Seahawks. Favre threw another interception, waved to the fans as "Auld Lang Syne" played over the public address system after the game and left without speaking to reporters. Should Favre quit? Yes, he threw another interception, giving him a club-record 29 for the season. Meanwhile, ESPN said a decision on returning won't be Favre's to make.
Speaking of washed-up quarterbacks, Steve McNair sat out the Tennesse Titans' 40-13 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the season finale. If McNair returns next season, the Titans have to pay him a $50 million bonus. McNair won't be returning, unless he and the Titans agree on a new contract.
