Busting the Lies About Rove/Plame-Gate

Big week ahead, most alikely. Real big. Media Matters has a detailed explanation exploding a number of the myths being circulated by supporters of Rove et al as the world awaits Fitzgerald's indictments (or "Fitzmas" as the blogosphere is calling it).

Also, AP has a helpful story today explaining who the various players in the scandal are so you can get up to speed before the indictments are announced, presumably on this Web site posted Friday by the Justice Department and Special Counsel Fitzgerald's office.

Ooo. I think I feel Cheney squirming. Could it be? Actually, here's a question I've been pondering lately.... 1) if it is considered an act of treason, as well as a matter of national security to knowingly "out" a CIA agent and 2) Novak is really the one who presented this angle to the world (knowingly publishing an article that reveals the name of a CIA agent).... why can't Fitzgerald require Novak to reveal his source? I understand journalists not having to reveal sources but I thought this was true in all cases EXCEPT those involving national security or intent to do harm to a government official?

Do we know for sure he hasn't? Personally, I can't wait to go Fitzmas Shopping. I'm buying new shoes as soon as the indictments come down. Or some little short, suede boots. All in honor of delayed justice ... or kicking the ass of people who have hurt this country so much. It's shameful, these guys.
