DayBreakDown at George St. Dec. 18

Daybreakdown is coming back to George St. Grocery Saturday, Dec. 18. Since George St. re-opened Daybreakdown has put 3 of the top-10 crowds in there (250+ consistently) and has one of the most loyal fan-bases in Jackson of any other Mississippi-based rock band. They have packed out Hal & Mal's, Headliners and Soulshine on several occasions as well. Daybreakdown headlined the first-ever Earth Day ReLeaf & Rhythms Benefit last year raising several thousand dollars for the Mississippi Urban Forestry Commission, and is having an oak tree planted on Farrish St. in their name for their contributions this coming Spring. They also co-headlined the 2nd Annual Joe's Crawdad Festival last Spring with the Taylor Grocery Band in the Smith Wills Pariking Lot.

This time around, they will be bringing Old Union (Southern rock / Nashville, TN) to open for them at the Official George St. Grocery X-Mas Bash '04. Daybreakdown played once with Old Union and Special guest Bonnie Bramlett (of Delaney & Bonnie, Delbert McClinton and the Allman Brothers Band) to a sold-out crowd at the Mercy Lounge in Nashville, TN. The two band's sounds compliment each other, and this should be the best Southern rock showcase to happen in Jackson, MS in quite a while. Other guest musicians will be on-hand, but their names will not be revealed until the day of the show.

Daybreakdown's long-awaited debut release "Make Me Wiser" will be on shelves in January. This will be the DBD's last show in Jackson until March (St. Paddy's Day).

Daybreakdown has recently performed with the following bands: Kudzu Kings, String Cheese Incident, The Wailers, Jewel, Randall Bramblett (of Traffic, Widespread Panic), Tishamigo, Willie Waldman Project, The Gamble Brothers Band and the Electric Mudd, just to name a few... And they have performed in the following festivals: Big Spring Jam (Huntsville, AL - twice), Odyssey Music Festival (Auburn, AL), Contagious Collaboration (Charleston, SC), Sun Ray Music Festival (Athens, GA), and the Great Southern Rock Revival (Oxford, MS - Ole Miss Campus). Daybreakdown tours 11 months out of the year from Texas to the Carolinas, and will be expanding that radius this Spring.
