After a hiatus spurred on by the election, the New Music Releases are BACK! So, let's get on with the new releases for the week of November 9th, 2004.

Undoubtedly, the biggest news to report is the rush delivery of Eminem's newest, "Encore." Originally slated for release on the 16th, good ol' Mr. Mathers decided to give us an early treat- I wouldn't be surprised if this were due, in part, to the election results :) Anyway, there are a couple of other noteworthy new releases to be mentioned this week, including Elton John's "Peachtree Road" and Ja Rule's "R.U.L.E."

In indie-land, new goodies come in the form of a self titled release by Aimee Mann & the Young Snakes, "Russaint-Louis en l'Ile" by Francophone legend Brigitte Fontaine, a re-issue of Of Montreal's "Aldhils Arboretum," a best of collection by Saint Etienne entitled "Travel Edition (1990-2005)" and an anthology by Slowdive named "Catch The Breeze."
