Happy New Year, All!

Just a quick New Year's message to wish you all a happy, peaceful and prosperous new year. Thanks to the Jackson community, the JFP had a wonderful 2003, and we are very excited about the year ahead; we plan to keep surprising you with new features, both in the print edition and here on the blog. Of course, the JFP wouldn't be here without all of your participation and interest in improving our community. This site, for instance, just logged its best month ever, with the second half of the month showing the most impressive increases, especially in the number of unique visitors. And that was even as many of our regular bloggers took time off for the holidays and travel. We especially appreciate all the positive feedback about our new comment registration system, and we welcome all the new members who have signed up in the last two weeks since we instituted it. As we all start to shake off the holiday dizziness, we look forward to some engaging online discussions in 2004. Cheers to you all. See you online next week.

Happy new year to you, too, Fielding. Thanks for providing great discussion in 2003. Any good resolutions to share? My favorite so far has been from Graham Prichard (and I don't think he'll mind my sharing): Eat more potato salad. It's a manageable resolution, he said. ;-D Actually, resolution today is to clean up my damned office and answer piles and piles of backed-up e-mail. Wish me luck.
