WrestleMania 32 Preview and Prediction

It’s time for “the Showcase of the Immortals,” “the Show of Shows” on “the Grandest Stage of Them All.”

Are you ready for WrestleMania 32?

It’s understandable if people aren’t excited about this year’s WrestleMania. Depending how the event goes, WrestleMania 32 might be remembered more for which performers are not in a match.

Several of the http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/15075017/real-life-injuries-taken-their-toll-wwe-ahead-wrestlemania-32">WWE’s biggest stars are on the shelf or won’t compete for the company again, including John Cena, the company's biggest face in more ways than one, who is out with a shoulder injury.

Randy Orton, multiple-time champion and crowd favorite, is also out with a shoulder injury, and Seth Rollins, the only former member of The Shield who won’t be on the card, is out with a knee injury.

Those are three big name stars, and you can add a couple more to the list. Daniel Bryan, leader of the Yes Movement and major fan favorite, recently retired due to injuries and concussions, and CM Punk won’t be making an appearance after walking out and deciding to fight in the UFC.

It is worth mentioning that Sting might have been on the card if Rollins hadn’t injured him in at a pay-per-view match called “Night of Champions.” There is no telling if Sting was going to be in a match at WrestleMania 32 or if he would simply slip away into the WWE Hall of Fame, since he was close to the end of his career before the injury.

Mid-card talents will also be missing, including Cesaro (billed as the “Swiss Superman”), who is out with a torn rotator cuff, Luke Harper (member of the Wyatt Family), who suffered a knee injury, Neville (billed as “the Man Gravity Forgot”), who is out with a broken ankle, and Tyson Kidd, who is dealing with an injured neck.

The women’s division is without some star power, as former WWE Divas champion Nikki Bella is out with a neck injury. That leaves her twin sister, Brie Bella, who is married in real life to Daniel Bryan, at WrestleMania.

Injuries are a part of professional wrestling. The outcomes of the matches are predetermined, but the potential for harm from falls, flips, chair shots and so forth, is real.

But even with the injuries, the show must go on, and while the card might be underwhelming, in some areas, it has some potential.

There are three matches on the preshow to WrestleMania 32 that will be televised on the USA network. The chance for some of the biggest early pops might come from the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

The Usos vs. The Dudley Boyz (tag-team match)

Expect the Usos to get the win here in a quick match that will feature some of their highflying moves and a https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJPrC9G9MDo">table or two at some point.

Total Divas vs. B.A.D. and Blonde

The WWE is going to have the Total Divas team (Brie Bella, Natalya, Alicia Fox, Eva Marie and Paige) win this one over team B.A.D. and Blonde (Lana, Naomi, Emma, Summer Rae and Tamina). Expect this match—and the victory—to be a part of their reality show at some point in the future.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (20-man over-the-top rope battle royal)

This match could be interesting with all the injuries. Expect a few blasts from the past at some point, like the Royal Rumble, who can come in and get tossed out quickly or some NXT call-ups. In battle royals, you just pull a name out of a hat, and my pick is Kane.

Now, we move on to the pay-per-view matches.

New Day vs. League of Nations (4-3 handicap match)

The New Day will have a http://soadown90.tumblr.com/post/131563746076/unicorn-19102015">great promo and get the win as the group continues its face turn. There will be some good stuff from the League of Nations unless the team is going to bury Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio.

AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

Jericho will cut a great promo before the match then put Styles over like he did to Fandango a couple of WrestleManias back. Let's just hope that Styles stays over, unlike Fandango who, is in the preshow battle royal.

Kalisto vs. Ryback (for Kalisto’s WWE United States Championship)

This matchup could go either way depending on whom the WWE wants to give a push after WrestleMania. My thoughts are that Ryback will win the title, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the champion retained his title.

Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks (triple-threat match for Charlotte’s WWE Divas Championship

Charlotte has the name recognition, being Ric Flair’s daughter, Becky Lynch has the best catchphrase as the “Irish Lass Kicker,” and Sasha Banks might be the best wrestler of the three. Any of these women winning will be great as long as they are given time to put on a show. My hope is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnDRFfe6-9A">Becky Lynch gets the win.

Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sami Zayn vs. The Miz vs. Stardust vs. Sin Cara vs. Zack Ryder (ladder match for Owen’s WWE Intercontinental Championship)

There are two things to know here: Viewers can expect some great high spots, and there are only three men who will win this match, with the other four being window dressing despite helping to provide some of those great moments. Owens, Ziggler and Zayn are the only men who could win this match, and I expect either Owens to remain the champion or Zayn to win.

Undertaker vs. Shane McMahon in “Hell in a Cell” (Shane wins control of Monday Night Raw with a win, and Undertaker is gone from WrestleMania with a loss)

This is the hardest match to predict but could be one of the most fun to watch if you saw http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=15087511">Shane jump from the top rope to deliver an elbow to Undertaker on the announce table on Raw. The storyline of Shane getting Raw could be interesting, but http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2019767-fans-react-to-brock-lesnar-ending-undertakers-undefeated-wrestlemania-streak">Undertaker losing to Shane at WrestleMania would be even more of a shock than his WrestleMania loss to Brock Lesnar.

Expect some big spots from Shane, as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMMFxZCP5DQ">he still isn’t afraid to put his body on the line. The win goes to Undertaker if it is a clean finish, but don’t be shocked if Shane gets the victory, while a couple of run-ins from the McMahon family and others affect the outcome.

Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose (no-hold-barred street fight)

Anything goes in this match that could bring back memories of the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgOT-q7X_L4">Attitude Era. Ambrose will take a beating but will keep on coming, and Lesnar loves to dish out a beating. This should be one heck of a fight with weapons and some blood.

The best finish would be to make both guys looks strong and provide a platform or a big push for the winner. Since Lesnar is a part-time performer, expect Ambrose to get the win in some wild fashion.

Triple H vs. Roman Reigns (for Triple H’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

This is the main event that fans hate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CQyN0VPi0A">Roman Reigns is going to get booed even though he’s the face going into this match. Fans have decided that they don’t want the Roman Empire and are letting the WWE powers that be know how they feel.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh-kmws3Gx4">Triple H always puts on a show at WrestleMania, but how long he can go at his age could determine how good this match is overall. If Triple H can bring his A game and the finish of the match is something special, the WWE might not let the fans have their boos.

It seems like Reigns is going to win, but last year, https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjp49H4oe7LAhWEWSYKHWvxBuQQyCkIHjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailymotion.com%2Fvideo%2Fx2l9p8i&usg=AFQjCNETMUfhjIA30cy--YUMYcNLUmneew&sig2=VDY4hGwcd6BFTMejXwGEyQ&bvm=bv.118443451,d.eWE">Rollins cashed in Money in the Bank to win the title. A returning star or something else unexpected could give this match some added oomph.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVSpJjEs82U">The Rock, Stone Cold or both getting involved could be fun. Whoever wins the WWE needs to end this match on a high note and not give the fans or the Smarks a reason to hate it. I think Triple H could hold on to the title after a great match.
